Ukraine is sending a fireplane to Georgia today to fight forest fires.
In a statement posted on the official website of the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko ordered the state emergency department of Ukraine to assist the Georgian side after telephone conversation with Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
The press secretary of the Ukrainian president confirms this on his Facebook page.
Svyatoslav Tsigolko said fire brigade will fly from Odessa to Batumi today. As it is known, the "32-P" type airplane has 4 external tankes, which can hold up to 8 tons of water.
