A Georgian citizen was killed in Switzerland The deceased is a 35-year-old resident of Gurjaani, Vazha Katsiashvili,. He was wounded in the throat area with a cold weapon.

Soso Gurgenishvili, a suspected offender and childhood friend of the victim, was detained. They went to Switzerland about two months ago and asked for asylum as refugees.

According to the family, the victim lived in the rented apartment together with Gurgenishvili and a foreign citizen. One of the versions suggested is that the reason might be an old conflict. The Embassy of Georgia in Switzerland is informed about the incident, but it is not clear when it will be possible to transport the body. The family has already addressed with a request the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, which , as explained will act in accordance with therelevant procedures.
