The fires started on Mtatsminda slope at 2 o`clock. The fire has spread over two hectares.

Rescuers and fire brigades needed more than five hours to put out the fire. Due to the difficult relief, it was necessary to involve the aviation in the process.

Experts consider the fire on Mtatsminda today as another case of sabotage. The cause of the fire in the hottest period of the year may be the high temperature , although experts say there is absence of preventive measures. In their opinion, government`s priority should be a quick and effective response.

Part of experts think that only the high temperature does not cause fire on the territory of Georgia.

Investigation has already begun on the causes of fire. According to the law enforcers, all versions will be discussed to bring the case to the end.
