The brother of the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, was detained in Kiev today.

Mikheil Saakashvili wrote on his own page on Facebook.

"This morning, eight staff members of the Interior Ministry arrested my brother, Davit Saakashvili, when he was leaving his home in Kiev. He was taken in unknown direction. My brother is a lawyer and has the right to live in Ukraine. Apparently, this way they try to influence myself so that I can not come back.

"You know me very badly, this strenrthens my intention to defend Ukraine and Ukrainians," - Mikheil Saakashvili wrote.

He also notes that mobile groups have been sent from Kiev to the western border of Ukraine.

"At the same time yesterday, mobile groups were sent from Kiev to the Western border, as they do not trust local border guards . The representatives of mobile groups, who are members of the former "Berkut", have an assignment not to give the the right to enter and take away my passport.
