The fire extinguikshing works have been resumed in the village of Khakhabo, Tusheti. Within a few minutes the helicopter should be expected at the site.

The fire in Khakhabo is spread on about 10 hectares. Up to 70 people are engaged in fire-fighting works at this stage. Local volunteers and rangers are also helping fire rescue brigades. 40 firefighters will arrive in Khagabo during the day.

The fire broke out yesterday morning. The locals say that the cause of the fire may have been the lightening. The fire is far from the settlement and therefore does not threaten the locals.
