Number of active fires in Artana forest decreases to 4

The number of active fires in the forest fire in Artana has decreased to 4, although localization of fire is still not possible. More than 500 firefighters and Georgian and Iranian rescue helicopters are involved in the works.

Volunteers involved in fire prevention claims that there are fires are on the slopes, but the Ministry of Environment does not confirm this information.

According toTornike Gvazava, head of the National Forestry Agency of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection, today there is no hope of fire liquidation, but they are doing everything to localize the fire.

The firefighters involved in the work are expected to extinguish the fire in 4-5 days.
