The delegates of the congress should choose a new chair today. Three candidates are nominated for the position - Irakli Petriashvili, the current chairperson, Davit Okitashvili, the , chairperson of the Chamber of Culture nd Amiran Zenaishvili. The most intense controversy is between Irakli Petriashvili and Davit Okitashvili. Davit Okitashvili calls Irakli Petriashvili a criminal and says that his own goal is to end Petriashvili"s "feudal rule".
