The Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia, Ilia II, has released a statement regarding the recent developments around the Patriarchate. The issue concerns the fact of giving shelter in the patriarch`s residence to the persons accused of terrorism.
Patriarch has addressed Georgians living outside Georgia and noted that they are loved by Georgia.
"It is unfortunate that the recent developments against the Church affected the Georgians living outside our country and caused them to be offended.
We love your children who have lost their homeland.
"Today is a difficult time, many people are interested in our little homeland; Most of the problems come from here; But God is great, and he will give you strength to overcome obstacles."
