64-page conclusion, in which Judge Besik Bugianishvili substantiates the verdict on the so-called cyanide case gives no answer to the question where the archpriest Giorgi Mamaladze acquired the poisonous substance.
The largest part of the document is the motivation for the offense. The judge writes that the priest was angry with the secretary of the Patriarch for dismissing him from the position of the head of the property management department, and therefore decided to take revenge.
Prior to the decision, the judge did not consider the testimony of the Metropolitan Dimitri, Patriarch`s nephew , who said that Mamaladze wanted to resign from the post and asked him to return him to Lazeti eparchia.
Mamaladze`s attorney will appeal the verdict of the judge Besik Bugianishvili in the Appeal Court next week.
