Why the Georgian Dream rejected the bill on the liberalization of drug policy presented to the Parliament and what specific proposals the government wants - the National Platform for Drug Policy demands answers to these questions.
Non-governmental organizations working on the rejected project also request the interagency commission to consider the issue.
"Until now, the vision of the Georgian government on specific details of drug policy is not known for the society, for activists, for people in the detention facility.
"It is important to send an appeal to the Ministry of Justice, to convene an inter-agency commission in the shortest period of time in order to give us a possiblity to review the prepared draft law with relevant departments," - Sopho Verdzeuli said.
