Malkhaz Bukia, a member of Poti City Council, a member of " Alliance of Patriots" is detained. The Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance has conducted special operation today. Reportedly, Bukia is accused of financial irregularities. The case concerns import of unacceptable, smuggled cigarettes.

Malkhaz Bukia participated in the local elections from "Alliance of Patriots" and became a majoritarian candidate. According to his allies, his detainment is related to the elections and the government has got rid of a strong rival .
