By the initiative of Catholicos Patriarch, today at 10:00 am, prayers for the unification of the nation are said in the Holy Trinity Cathedral. On September 21, Ilia II called on the parish to gather in the Holy Trinity Cathedral to pray for the unity of the nation every Thursday.

Patriarch met with the parish today and talked about the alienation of Georgian lands.

"Georgia has attraction, but is that acceptable for us or not. Of course, we can not stop people from arriving, but the guest should know his place and the host his own. If a human beingt wants to work , the vacancy will appear"- Patriarch said.

During the sermon, a statement about the Abkhazian church was also made.

"Before we return Abkhazia, the territory, we must first of all return the Abkhazians, because the enemy has managed to allienate this people by confrontation. We are thinking about this, every church should make friends with one Abkhazian family, to get acquainted with this family, to introduce it to the parish, to help, to become friends, "- said Davit Konjaria to the Patriarch of Georgia.
