"The Minister does not have full understanding of the Public Defender`s mandate and, in general, of human rights,"- Ucha Nanuashvili said in connection with the Interior Minister`s allegations regarding the detention of Sergo Mamasakhlisi several days ago.

The Minister of Internal Affairs criticized the Public Defender for the statement in which he was talking about the fact of violence against detained Sergo Mamasakhlisi in the police department.

Ucha Nanuashvili considers that Giorgi Mgebrishvili does not know how the Public Defender`s Office works.

"Mr. Minister does not have full understanding of the mandate of the Public Defender and , in general,of human rights. This is very sad because the Public Defender behaved in accordance with the mandate, when the minister speaks using jargon and I think it is very sad, and in fact there are systemic problems that the aim of this statement is simply to overshadowi what actually happened , "- Ucha Nanuashvili said.

We remind you that Sergo Mamasakhlisi`sfamily accused the village Dighomi police in the inhumane treatment, physical and psychological violence.
