Leaders` Council agreed on coordinated work on elections

Opposition parties within the Leaders` Council will work coordinated at polling stations on election day. The decision was taken by the leaders at the Labor Party office.

"The Leaders" Council has decided to create a united front against election fraud and coordinate election commissions to minimize the magnitude of fraud planned by the government," - Giorgi Gugava, candidate of the Labor Party said.

The meeting was held behind closed doors. As the party leaders said after the meeting, the main topic of the discussion was the upcoming self-government elections.

According to Davit Usupashvili, Leader of the "Movement for Buildings", such meetings based on general interests of the parties are acceptable .

"This is a common interest to conduct elections without fraud," -Davit Usupashvili said.

Leaders` Council was created two weeks ago and its members are New Rights, European Democrats of Georgia, Labor Party, Movement for Building and Democratic Movement for United Georgia.
