European Georgia lawmakers were not allowed into the building of the City Council today. As the party members say, the police are today the victim of the Georgian Dream.

Elene Khoshtaria, the Mayoral candidate for the European Georgia, said that the party members were going to attend the City Council session, but the Georgian Dream hid behind the police cordon and they did not allow them to do so.

According to one of the leaders of the party, Gika Bokeria, what was happening in the City Council and outside of it was the expression of Ivanishvili`s regime.

According to Goka Gabashvili, member of the European Georgia, the events in the City Council are related to the desire of one person to seize the property for one GEL.

"The city council turned into a ridiculous fortress," said Goka Gabashvili.

Protest action was held in front of the City Council building. The opposition protested against the transfer of land to Bidzina Ivanishvili. A large number of law enforcement officers was mobilized at the site. There was a physical confrontation between participants and police several times.

Opposition MPs were present at the site who in vain tried to enter the building of the City Council. The police did not allow them to do so.
