The discussion at the City Council session regarding the issue of transfer of land for Bidzina Ivanishvili`s company was accompanied with noise, confrontation and detentions.

The opposition demanded the withdrawal of these issues from the agenda.

The opposition members of the City Council who protested against the decision were forcefully taken out from the meeting hall. Those whom law enforcers left in the hall, left the session in protest.

Despite the protest from opposition, the majority of City Council approved the transfer of 1900 square metersin the center of the capital and of the area adjacent to the Botanical Garden to Bidzina Ivanishvili

A large number of law enforcers was mobilized at the City Council building in the morning.

In the afternoon the opposition members decided that they will prepare a suit and apply to the court to in order to announce the sessions in the City Council and the decision to be illegitimate. The opposition is convinced that the chairman of the City Council has violated the law many times.
