The liturgy is taking place regarding the Svetitskhoveli festival. The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, together with the clergy will hold the liturgy.

After the end of liturgy, the Patriarch will address the parish with a traditional preaching and congratulates on this day.

Due to the holiday, special measures have been taken in Mtskheta. The movement of vehicles in the area surrounding Svetitskhoveli temple is restricted and is possible only with special permits.

Cultural events will be held on the main street of the city. A special scene is arranged in the center of Mtskheta, where different groups will perform, handmade item will be exhibited in the streets.

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Georgian Dream`s mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze and other officials are expected at the festive service.
