Family members of the sailors arrested in Libya for the illegal crossing of the border and smuggling of contraband cargo are asking the President of Georgia for help.

The relatives of Roman Kakaladze, Nukri Khokhba and Geno Komakhidze demand the involvement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the case and hiring a lawyer. The trial of detainees was held yesterday.

Three Georgians were on board of a Turkish ship sailing in Tanzania, which was detained in Libya on 30 August.
