As a result of the flooding of the river Chikhermela, a large part of the road connecting the central highway and Kharagauli has been swept away.

"We have a critical situation on the second day already. It cannot operate. A big part has already been swept away by water, "states the Imereti governor Givi Tchitchinadze.

According to Roads Department representative Giorgi Thankhadze, they are waiting for the special team to start the road rehabilitation works.
