Paata Pavliashvili died on the Nutsubidze plateau in the entrance to the house when he was being arrested by patrol police officers. Eyewitnesses say that the young man was asking for a few minutes the police to help as he was feeling bad. Police did not listen to Petriashvili and died at the moment when he was handcuffed.

Nobody has taken any responsibility yet. The MIA says that Paata Pavliashvili was drunk and had aggression against the police.
The police came to the scene of the incident because of the conflict between neighbors. Paata Petriashvili tried to find out what was happening after the appearanceof the police and noise in the yard, when the police tried to arrest him.

Giorgi Kopaliani, who was a side in the conflict between the neighbors spoke about the details of the incident. The young man says that the police tried to detain Paata Petriashvili after the situation was already stable.

Nodar Shanidze who called the patrol crew because of the conflict with the neighbors, gave a video interview to the MIA representatives on the night of the incident. He shares the position of the police.
