The work of the Abkhazian issue started between the Russian and Georgian Patriarchates is critically evaluated by theologians and they call on the Georgian Church to break up Eucharist connections.

According to the specialists, the Russian Patriarchate shares the official positions of Moscow regarding the occupied territories, and so similar processes contradict the interests of Georgia.

"The most correct approach to the Russian Patriarchate is to break the Eucharist connection with it. The Russian Orthodox Church directly recognizes that it serves Russian state, it recognizes independence of Abkhazia and Ossetia,it is constantly trying to carry out its illegal interests having non-Christian attitude towards the Georgiab Church and the State of Georgia . Accordingly, similar response should be given from Georgia, "- Beka Mindiashvili said.
