Patriarchate of Georgia and Russia begin joint work to solve Abkhazian issues. The Metropolitan of Tsalka confirmed the information.

According to Grigol Katsia, at the first stage it is planned to arrive in Abkhazia and meet with the parish. According to him, the Russian Church recognizes the Georgian jurisdiction in the occupied region.

"Abkhazia is an open wound and everybody has a heartache either physical or spiritual, thet need a doctor, I am a cardiologist and I will wait for the Patriarch`s blessing." I think it will be good to see the congregation, the clergy, to talk with them,- says the Bishop Grigol Katsia of Tsalka.

Gregory Katcsa is one of the clergy who will be considered as a member of the Joint Working Group of Georgia-Russia.
