Person detained during operation on November 22 faces 17-year prison sentence

The Tbilisi City Court has to decide the issue of a preventive measure in regard to the person, who was detained during a special operation on November 22. The detainee does not plea guilty.

An investigation is underway under the articles 328 and 323 of Georgia’s Criminal Code. which envisages 10-17 years of imprisonment.

Reportedly the detainee is a Russian citizen, but this information is not confirmed at this stage. The trial will start in one hour.
