Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II expresses sorrow over the tragedy in Batumi. Patriarch expressed condolences to the families of the victims .

"On behalf of the Georgian Church and personally, we express deep sorrow and sadness over the tragedy that took place in the hotel" Leogrand " last night and we express our condolences to the family members and relatives of the deceased. In addition, we ask the Lord to reconcile with our country and to protect from the trial, "Patriarch Ilia II said in the letter of condolences.

In the hotel "Leogrand" in Batumi, 11 people were killed, including 10 citizens of Georgia and one citizen of the Republic of Iran.
