The same happened in the elevator, which was filled with smoke.

On the tragic night, a large number of hotel guests visited the restaurant on the 7th floor. Hotel guests recall that the rescuers arrived at the scene of the accident, however, due to strong smoke, could not enter the building for almost one hour.

The guests in the restaurant recall that the mechanism of showering was started in the building with appearance of smoke. However, the voice alarm did not turn on. But due to smoke and darkness, it was practically impossible to reach the evacuation staircase.

The elevator was one of the most fatal spots in the tragedy on November 24. It is reported that 8 people died in the elevators. However, there is no official information about who died and where they died.
