Giunashvili, who was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment in so called South Ossetia, presumably was exchanged for imprisoned Abkhazians

A citizen of Georgia, who was sentenced to 20 years of strict regime in so called South Ossetia, is free, he is already at home.
Giorgi Giunashvili was freed by South Ossetiain at the request of Abkhazia. The regime of the occupied Abkhazia says it was an expression of good will.

It is reported that Giunashvili was exchaned for the last Abkhazian fighter who was in Georgian prison.

State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili said that this is a positive step and will have a positive impact on the peace process. Sh did not talk about whether Giulashvili should be exchanged for Abkhazian fighter.

"In the case of good will, pragmatic and humanitarian approaches exist, as it has been revealed today, it is possible to make important decisions," said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.

Giorgi Giunashvili has not released any information yet.
