The delegation of the Georgian Patriarchate will leave for Moscow today. Three bishops will attend the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the patriarchal restoration in the Russian capital. Despite the invitation of Patriarch Cyril, Ilia the second was not able go to to Moscow because of health conditions. He will be substitute by the bishop Shio Mujiri.

Metropolitan Theodore Chuadze will chair the delegation of the Patriarchate.

"We will always raise questions about Abkhazia and Tskhinvali at any meeting, and we always have this issue on the agenda. It is necessary to talk with any party that can have any positive impact on our relationship, "said Theodore.

The delegation will also be chaired by the chairperson of the Foreign Department of the Patriarchate, Metropolitan Gerasime of Zugdidi and Tsaishi and Bishop Vakhtang of Nikortsminda.
Ilia II received Cyril`s invitation a month ago from Metropolitan Ilarion during his visit in Tbilisi. At the same meeting, it became known that Russia-Georgia churches jointly plan to work on the situation in occupied Abkhazia.
