With 22 votes against 18, the parliamentary majority voted down the initiative on the creation of an investigative commission on the case of Afgan Mukhtarli. The ruling team did not support the initiative of "European Georgia".

A few minutes ago the Parliament finished discussing the initiative on creation of a temporary investigative commission investigating the kidnapping of Azerbaijani journalist Afgan Mukhtarli.

The parliamentary majority did not consider it necessary to create an investigative commission on the case of Azeri journalist abducted from Georgia.
