Non-governmental organizations respond to the accusations made by the judge of the Batumi City Court towards the Chairman of the Court.

The case concerns the statement of the judge Irakli Shavadze, who accuses Davit Mamiseishvili of attempting to pressure court judgments.

The civil sector calls on members of the Council of Justice to react to the challenged judges.

Non-governmental organizations say that today"s session of the Council of Justice should be open to the public because it is important that there are no question marks about the situation created after the meeting.

"The council should ensure maximum publicity of the details, as this issue has long gone beyond narrow confrontation. It is also added that the Council of Justice has refused to appoint Mr. Irakli Shavadze as a lifetime judge.
