Rehabilitation that was belated by 3 years and 3 million more expensive has been completed - in April the Erekle II Museum will be opened in Telavi. During this time the Erekle Palace was closed for local and foreign tourists.

Prior to 2012, the previous government had already prepared a project that provided for a different rehabilitation of this space. "Georgian Dream" government has prepared a new project, which took 3 years to implement.

In Telavi, the opposition speaks about poorly accomplished works and 6 million wasted Nika Vardoshvili, a member of Labor Party, said that the building has lost the function of the museum and turned it into a food facility .

Project Manager is the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. The foundation has announced the tender and named 3 million 500 thousand GEL as the estimated cost of the project. During the rehabilitation agreement signed between the company "Java" and the state was changed 6 times and the works cost more than 6 million lari.

The deputy director of the fund asserted that rehabilitation works were carried out much better than it was planned until 2012.

The opposition suspect that the funds are artificially increased and may be signs of corruption.

The Prosecutor"s Office may soon have to start investigation into the case of 6 million spent on rehabilitation of the historical museum. The opposition will appeal to the investigating agency in the future
