“According to the information received in the past days and hours, we have a reason to say that our efforts will be followed by results and in the nearest future we will bury our compatriot”, - Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili said when commenting on the transfer of Archil Tatunashvili’s body from Tskhinvali.“We and the family have not been able to duly bury Archil Tatunashvili, while Levan Kutashvili and Ioseb Pavliashvili are still unable to return to their families.
Of course, our population is absolutely fairly concerned about what happened. The Georgian government uses every effort to transfer the body in the shortest possible time. All our friends and the whole international community stand by us. The role of our church and patriarch is crucial in this process”, says the PM in the statement.
According to him, he is sure that even on the other side of the barbed wire fences, there are people who care for the centuries-old history of co-existence and believe in peace and cooperation.
