Irakli Kobakhidze compared the public broadcaster to Lenin, who is dead but still believed in

The meeting, which was attended by the Director of the GPB, the Press Secretary of the Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the former deputy chief prosecutor and the chairman of the National Communications Regulatory Commission was the topic of the discussion in Parliament. At the informal meeting, the parties discussed how to elect Zaza Shatirishvili as a member of the Board of Trustees of the GPB. The opposition believes that "Georgian Dream" will fill the board with its staff and thus control the public broadcaster.

The chairman of the parliament responded to the criticism of the opposition  and compared the public broadcaster to Lenin, who is no longer alive, but still believed in. Irakli Kobakhidze claims that the parliament now tries to revive the dead.

The third sector also responded to the secret meeting, which thinks that officials of any other country would resign after such a large scale scandal.
