Accidents in Gudauri - together with Georgian law enforcers, foreign experts will be involved in examination of Gudauri accident.

The ropeway and its two stations are now sealed. Dimitri Kumsishvili, Minister of Economy, said that planned technical check was conducted in December 2017.

The First Deputy Prime Minister personally got acquainted with the situation in Gudauri ski resort on the ground.

"Not only experts from the Doppelmayr Company, but international independent experts will also be called. It is important for us to conduct an examination through the involvement of independent experts", Dimitri Kumsishvili said.

According to the Ministry, representatives of the Doppelmayr Company have already left for Georgia and will arrive in the country tomorrow morning.

The ropeway is managed by Mountain Resorts Development Company and its direct duty is to protect the safety standards.

As initially reported, the accident was caused the disruption of electricity supply. According to the company "Energo-Pro Georgia", power supply has not been disrupted in Gudauri today.

The criminal case has been initiated under Article 275, which implies a violation of the traffic safety or exploitation rules.
