No polling station has been opened in connection with Russia’s presidential elections in the Russian interests section of the Swiss Embassy in Tbilisi. According to the Foreign Ministry, the reason for this is the illegal action of 33 polling stations on the occupied territories.

In the statement released by the agency, this fact is assessed as "another example of occupation of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions and an illegal move to their actual annexation."

The agency addresses the international community to assess the illegal actions of Russia.
