Guram Bregadze had to leave Rustavi Theater. The decision was made by the director after loud announcements, which was followed by the protest and criticism of the members of the theater community. The director of the theater accused Art Director of Young Audience Theater of misappropriation of money and high officials of the Ministry of Culture accused hiding the corrupt deals.
"We were not rich like Manana Berikashvili and Dima Khvtisiashvili, we did not make money, we were decent people," said Guram Bregadze from the stage of Rustavi Theater.
Almost similar statement was made by Guram Bregadze after first night performance of "Elizabeth, Elisabeth" play. When the director left the stage, representatives of Rustavi City Hall, theater director and theater community members came to Bregadze and criticized him for the statement. They explained thier disconcent by the fact that Bregadze used the theater stage for personal interests and political statements.
