Mikheil Saakashvili, the third president of Georgia and the leader of United National Movement met with the president of ALDE Hans van Baalen in the European Parliament.

After the meeting, the EU MP said in the conversation with "Courier" that issues of Georgia, Ukraine and Russia had been discussed. Specifically they had discussed threats from Russia and i the Russian aggressive policy in general.

Han van Baalen said that democratic development is essential for Georgia, because democracy is the guarantee of stability.

The European MP also focused on Ivanishvili and the political situation in Georgia.

The president of ALDE underlined that Ivanishvili"s policy in Georgia has signs of shadowy governance, so Baalen said he is going to talk to those political parties who want to change it.
