Majority of the Supreme Council of Adjara will nominate the candidate for the post of head of government. The consultations of the lawmakers have lasted for two days.
They will inform the President of Georgia about the candidate who starts consultations with the Supreme Council MPs.
The president"s administration explains that according to the law, Giorgi Margvelashvili is not obliged to consult with the central government.
According to the procedure, the president should submit the selected candidate to the Supreme Council in a two-week term.
The members of the Faction "United National Movement" of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara say that the decision is made by the ex-PM Ivanishvili, the name of the head of the government of Adjara is not decisive.
