The legislative amendments regarding the use of marijuana will be discussed by the legislators at the parliamentary session in the first reading today. The purpose of the package prepared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs is to bring the decisions of the Constitutional Court in conformity with the legislation. According to the authors of the draft law, the change is to provide a fair and reasonable balance between the individual freedom and public safety needs, taking into account the threat from the cannabis. The opposition refuses to support the package.
