An explosion occurred in a residential building in Didi Digomi on Avtandili Street . Employees of KazTransGas, who were called to check the building before the blast are being questioned at the Police Department.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirms that only one person is being questioned at this time.
Prosecutors are at the Police Stationing Didi Digomi as well. "KazTransGaz" employees were summoned by law enforcers late yesterday night as well.

The Ministry said that the investigation was launched under Article 240 (I), provision 3 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving the breach of safety regulations during the placement, design, construction or operation of electric or thermal energy facilities or gas, oil or oil products facilities that results in death of two or more persons.

.The explosion took place in Didi Dighomi yesterday evening, resulting in the deaths of 4 people, including one juvenile. Eight people were injured.
