Trial of Irakli Okruashvili will be held today

The trial of Irakli Okruashvili, the former Minister of Defense will be held in Tbilisi City Court. Today the defense will take part in interviewing witnesses.

At the previous trial, the defense demanded Irakli Okruashvili be released without a measure of restraint, but the detention imposed on him as a measure of restraint remained valid.
Okruashvili’s defender Vakhtang Iashvili is not planning to file any motion this time around.

Former Minister of Defense was detained in connection with the events of June 20-21.
