Two citizens of Iran were banned from entering Georgia

Two citizens of Iran were banned from entering Georgia - borders guards did not allow them to cross Georgia’s border, because both of them had a temperature when they underwent an examination at the customs.

According to the Deputy Health Minister of Adjara Nino Nijaradze, at the Sarpi border checkpoint and the airport, passengers are being subjected to careful examination.

“Right now we have no patients with suspicious symptoms in the region. Working meetings are planned to be conducted tomorrow. Meetings by the Adjara government at which the already confirmed cases were discussed have already ended, with all necessary measures planned to be introduced in the short term.

Passengers are subjected to screening at the border, with the medical personnel examining them closely. If any suspicious symptoms are noticed, they will be immediately transported to the hospital”, - concluded Nizharadze.
