Starting 2021, pensions will be increased to all pensioners by 20 GEL and to those being above 70 – by 25 GEL. Such a statement the Prime Minister made during the presentation of the anti-crisis economic plan at the sitting of the Anti-Crisis Economic Group of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council.

“The pensions of all people retired will increase. The increase will be based on inflation rate to insure the increase of prices that has vital importance for elderly people. The pensions would increase by GEL 20 from 2021, while those over the age of 70, will receive a sum increased by GEL 25.

As a result, 410 thousand pensioners will benefit from the initiative”, - concluded Giorgi Gakharia.
