The officers of Batumi police division of Adjara police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of investigative activities detained R.ID. (DoB 1975) in Batumi for domestic violence committed against family member and threat. Committed crime envisages up to 3 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that detainee verbally and physically assaulted his wife- E.K. (DoB 1971) in presence of the under aged person and threatened with liquidation. Police detained R.D. shortly after the crime.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of domestic violence committed against family member in presence of under aged person and threat, the crime envisaged by the article 1261II part, sub-paragraph B and article 151, II part, sub-paragraph “D” under the Criminal Code of Georgia.
