Lockdown of Gardabani villages not planned at this stage - Alexander Khojevanishvili

Alexander Khojevanishvili, the Chief of the Operational Staff of the Interagency Coordination Council, says that due to the complicated epidemiological situation in Gardabani, thermo screening will be intensified in the villages of the municipality.

At the same time, as he added, the lockdown of the villages of Gardabani Municipality is not planned at this stage.

“The decision on lockdown was not made by the Coordination Council. Council decided to conduct thermal screening at the Gachiani entry points, as well as to conduct extended testings of the local population, in particular in the Gachiani settlement. Besides, the Council had decided to tighten control over markets and fairs”, - said Khojevanishvili.
