The Mtskheta District Court will discuss the issue of revising the measure of restraint against 11 people detained in connection with Giorgi Shakarashvili’s case. The sitting will start at 11:00.

The Prosecutor’s office demands to prolong pre-trial detention. The defense demands the release of the accused on bail.

The investigation is underway into the facts of premeditated murder, organizing and participating in group violence, deprivation of liberty and violence in the aggravating circumstances. The 17 individuals are detained into death case of 19-year-old footballer.

Giorgi Shakarashvili went missing while at a friend’s birthday party in Mtskheta on June 19. His dead body was found in Aragvi on June 22.
