According to the report of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, which reflects the situation in Georgia as of July 11, 129 health care workers have been infected with coronavirus in Georgia.
Out of 129 cases, 111 are medical personnel and 18 are technical staff. 62 of the infected people are nurses, 31 - doctors, 16 - lower-rank medical staff and 1 - epidemiologist. 1 case was fatal (70-year-old female nurse in Kvemo Kartli).
According to the report, 85.5% of infected health care providers were female and 14.5% were male. The most of the medical staff were infected in hospitals, 52% of them - in the so-called COVID clinics.
