The officers of Tkibuli Police Division of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative activities carried out along with Gldani-Nadzaladevi Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department, detained previously convicted K.R. (DoB 1970) on the basis of the relevant court decision for the attempted premeditated murder committed under aggravating circumstances.

The committed crime envisages from 11 to 14 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that on July 7 of the current year the accused shot A.P. (DoB 1987) with a shotgun in Tkibuli, on Gelati Street during the conflict related to the dispute which existed between the parties in the past and fled from the place of crime in a vehicle owned by his friend – Z.S. (DoB 1974).

The wounded person was transferred to the hospital where he was rendered medical aid. The victim’s health condition is satisfactory at the moment.

As a result of operative-search and investigative activities the law enforcers arrested K.R. few days after the incident, he was arrested as an accused person in Tbilisi. Friend of K.R. - Z.S. was also detained shortly after the incident by the police in Tkibuli for non-reporting the crime.

The investigation is in progress on the fact of the attempted premeditated murder committed under aggravating circumstances and non-reporting the crime under articles 19-109, Part I, Subparagraph “B” and Article 376, Part II envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
