MFA of Georgia aims before 2030 achieve a tangible progress towards strengthening the sovereignty and restoring the territorial integrity

We aim before 2030 achieve a tangible progress towards strengthening the sovereignty and restoring the territorial integrity. Such a statement made the minister of foreign affairs while presenting 10-year development plan.

“Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia aims the following before 2030: achieve a tangible progress towards strengthening the sovereignty and restoring the territorial integrity of the country, launch the de-occupation process and ensure its irreversible implementation in the country, develop and implement a State Strategy of De-Occupation and Peaceful Conflict Resolution, maintain the occupation issue in the international agenda, effectively use all the available international mechanisms for security purposes and humanitarian problem-solving.

Besides, the Ministry aims to establish an all-inclusive alliance based on a strong US-Georgia strategic partnership with enhanced military-political and trade-economic components, further advance the bipartisan support of Georgia at the US Congress.

File an application for EU membership to gain a status of a Candidate Nation in 2024, launch the negotiations on EU membership towards transcending the EU legislation into the Georgian legal framework.

Implement a plan agreed with the Alliance for an ultimate membership of Georgia in NATO, launch the membership negotiations and reach a logical conclusion of the process with NATO membership”, - said David Zalkaliani.
