The employees of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the investigative activities, arrested Z.V. (DoB 1957) in Tbilisi on charges of premeditated murder against a family member.

The committed crime envisions from 16 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.

The investigation established that on July 8 of the current year, the defendant had an argument with his wife L.Z. (DoB 1964), as a result of which Z.V. inflicted a head trauma to the victim with a blunt object.

As a result of the damage caused, L.Z. died at the place of crime.

Law enforcement officers arrested the alleged perpetrator of the crime as a result of immediate police activities.

The weapon of crime was seized as evidence.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 11 (1) -109, sub-paragraph “J” of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies premeditated murder against a family member.
