Today, search works are already underway at 10 locations, the Head of the Emergency Situations Management Service, Temur Mghebrishvili, told journalists today.

“A female human body was detected in the river bed, and a human fragment as well. Additional mobilization is underway at the mentioned location to expand the search and rescue area.

Today, search works are already underway at 10 locations, the Ministry of Defense has received special equipment, which is used to inspect the areas for metal detection, and for searching car fragments and the car itself. The works are actively being carried out”, - noted Temur Mghebrishvili.

In Oni municipality, the search and rescue event is going in round the clock regime for the sixth day. Police units, fire-rescuers of Emergency Situations Management Service, K-9 experts, border police helicopters, drones and special equipment are involved in the operation. Herewith, employees of the Ministry of Defense and the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Infrastructure are working in the disaster zone.

In total, 19 bodies have been found by the rescuers as a result of the search and rescue operation in the disaster area.
